Evan Shepherd and oSha Shireman

Evan Shepherd and oSha Shireman, both McConnell Scholars from the Class of 2014, have been invited to the University of Louisville Student Orientation Staff.

The position, one of only 28 offered to U of L undergraduate students, calls for highly motivated, responsible individuals to serve as academic and social resources for incoming students and their parents.

Shepherd and Shireman completed three rounds of interviews and were two of only three freshmen selected. They will take leadership and training courses in the spring and work on campus next summer.

McConnell Scholars have long served in SOS positions. Most recently, McConnell Scholars Blake Christopher, Alex Jenkins, Trey Pippin and Jessica Bagby worked on the orientation staff.
