Dr. Gary L. Gregg, director of the McConnell Center, will present "The Temptation of Washington: The End of the Revolution and the Birth of Constitutional Statesmanship" today at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The speech is Skidmore's Constitution Day Lecture and will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Pohndorff Room of Scribner Library.

Gregg is a specialist on the presidency and public politics. His other research interests include representation and American political institutions and political and constitutional thought at the American founding.

Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is observed Sept. 17, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention signed the constitution in 1787.
