Earlier thisyear, Maj. Gen. Anthony Cucoto announced that Gregg was invited to participate in the U.S. Army War College's "Commandant’s National Security Program” from July 22-25. The theme of the conference was “Strategic Leadership for Global Challenges to National Security” and brought together national security experts, senior military officers and civilian leaders to discuss international leadership challenges in the 21st century.

“I'm honored to be one of the civilians asked to come help push the creative thinking skills of the Colonels and Lt. Colonels completing this two year MA program,” said Gregg, who holds the Mitch McConnell Chair in Leadership at the University of Louisville.

The U.S. Army War College was founded in 1901 under the motto “Not to promote war, but to preserve peace through intelligent and adequate preparation.” Graduates of the program include former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Gen. George S. Patton, Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf and Gen. Tommy Franks.
