McConnell Center Moot Court
McConnell Scholars Moot Court Teams All Make Nationals!

All three teams (Andrew Carroll and Kirk Laughlin, Anthony Cash and Kyle Riggs, Katlin Rust and Mauricus Lofton) from the University of Louisville have qualified for the national moot court tournament at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa on January 18-19. Moot Court is a collegiate competition which usually pits law students against one another in appellate legal arguments, like the cases which go before the Supreme Court.
Kirk Laughlin says that “This success is due to the hard work of the six involved, wonderful coaching from Mary Hora and the support of the McConnell Center's staff and scholars.”
U of L's squads are now seeded 29, 55 and 63 in the national tournament but hope to move up through the ranks by tournament’s end.
