McConnell Scholarships are renewable for four years for promising young leaders who plan to major or minor in political science through the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Louisville. The scholarships are normally for tuition and a modest stipend for books. Exact amounts are determined by the Selections Committee. Scholarships are awarded to talented, deserving high school seniors reflecting the commonwealth's geographic diversity. The goal of the McConnell Center is to train Kentucky's future generation of leaders through the following programs and activities of the Center:
