The McConnell Center is located on the second floor of Ekstrom Library at the University of Louisville. The U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and Secretary Elaine L. Chao Archives are located on the lower level of Ekstrom Library. Map »

Driving directions

From the Northeast via I-71:

I-71 ends at the junction with I-64, so follow the directions for East via I-64 from that point.

From the East or West via I-64:

Leave I-64 at the I-65 exit and continue. Take the Arthur Street exit. Go half a block and turn right onto Cardinal Boulevard. Turn right and proceed down Cardinal Boulevard. Belknap Campus is to your left. You can enter the campus by turning left into the North entrance or by proceeding to South Third Street, turning left and entering the campus at the Oval Driveway. (This entrance is on your left a short distance past the J.B. Speed Art Museum.) Information Centers are located at both entrances with maps and parking information.

From the North via I-65:

After you cross the bridge continue south on I-65 until you come to the Arthur Street exit. Take the Arthur Street exit. Go half a block and turn right onto Cardinal Boulevard. Turn right and proceed down Cardinal Boulevard. Belknap Campus is to your left. You can enter the campus by turning left into the North entrance or by proceeding to South Third Street, turning left and entering the campus at the Oval Driveway. From the South via I-65:

Take 1st Eastern Parkway exit - number 133A (just past KY Fairgrounds). Turn right onto Crittenden Drive (at Denny’s Restaurant), and continue 1/2 mile. Turn right onto Central Avenue and continue 3/4 mile. Turn right onto 3rd Street (at Patterson Baseball Stadium), continue 3/4 mile. Turn right into "Oval" Entrance (there is a "University of Louisville" sign; it is across from tennis courts). Maps and parking instructions are available at the West Visitor's Information Center, at the top right of the oval.

From the Health Sciences Campus:

Take Preston Street south until you come to Breckenridge Street. Turn right and proceed down Breckenridge Street until South Third Street. At South Third Street turn left and proceed south until the entrance to the Belknap Campus oval driveway. Turn left into the Campus and go to the Visitor's Information Center for a map parking instructions.
