Introduction to Natural Foods
Almost all fast foods and most foods bought in packages, bottles, cans, and restaurants are altered chemically and are extremely high in salt, sugar, and/or fat. During this class, you'll experience the delicious taste of foods in forms close to the ones in which they grew naturally from the earth. During field trips to a large conventional grocery store and a natural foods store, you'll practice wise label reading and optimum food selection. Discussions and demonstrations will reveal simple, natural, quick, and delicious ways to prepare fresh vegetables, casseroles, soups, dried beans and grains.
Class size is limited to 12.
