Accessing Databases

Most of the article databases that libraries link to are subscription databases. Libraries pay for each of these databases so that students and other researchers have the right to access the information contained in the database.

Think of it as a restricted, members-only area of the Internet.

If you're researching from off-campus, you need to "connect from home" using your ULink id and password in order to let the database company know that you're a "member" of the University of Louisville Libraries subscription.
