Connect from Home
You can access to the Libraries' web site and online catalog, Minerva, from anywhere on the Internet. However, only authorized users can access the library subscribed resources from home via the proxy server. Such resources include databases, electronic journals and electronic books, etc. The requirements for accessing these resources from home are listed below:- On the Internet(using an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Login ID/password
- Internet Explorer (6.x or higher; Other browsers may or may not work with some databases)
Laptop Check-Out
Ekstrom Library, Kornhauser Health Sciences Library, and the Art Library now have laptops available to be checked out for a four hour period for in-building use. These laptops are loaded with the Microsoft Office suite and wireless Internet accessibility. To check out a laptop in Kornhauser or Art, take your University ID to the Circulation Desk. For Ekstrom, please go to the Media Resources Desk 1st floor. Questions? Contact the Circulation Desk of Kornhauser Library at 852-5771 or the Art Library at 852-6741, and the Media Resources Desk of Ekstrom Library at 852-6302.
Printing
In coordination with the University's Information Technology department, the Libraries provide a fee-based printing solution, UnipriNT. There is one print station (with at least one printer) in each library (except Ekstrom Library). In Ekstrom Library, where multiple printers are available, users can pick up their print-outs at any of the printers. Wireless printing is now available in all libraries. Print-outs can be picked up at all release stations in the libraries. To download the drivers for wireless printing please go to the IT Store click free software, then wireless, and then select "Wireless Printing Client."
Z39.50 and Citation Management Software
Z39.50 is an international standard for communication between computer systems, primarily library and information related systems. Citation Management software such as EndNote, ProCite and Reference Manager use Z39.50.

Minerva, the libraries' online catalog system uses the following Z39.50
configuration:
