Computer Copying and Printing

  • Copying
The public photocopier is located on the 3rd floor of the Music Library. Please see our floor plans for the exact location. The copy machine accepts cash (10¢ per copy) and the Cardinal Card (10¢ per copy). When making copies, patrons are expected to comply with copyright regulations. For more information regarding copyright regulations, please visit the MLA Copyright Guide and the copyright information posted on UofL's Information Technology site.  Both sites include helpful information that may eliminate any doubt when making copies.
  • Printing
Patrons may print from any of the workstations within the library through a network system called UniPrint.  UniPrint only accepts the Cardinal Card and the cost is 10¢ per page.  After selecting "Print" at the workstation, UniPrint guides the patron through the mandatory process of naming the file and the options of assigning a user id and password. At this time, the patron also has the option of sending their print job to another library on campus.  The patron then retrieves their print job at the UniPrint station they selected. The Music Library UniPrint station is located on the 1st floor.

  • Cardinal Card Information

The Cardinal Card is used for many things on campus. The libraries use the Cardinal Card for copying, printing and checking out materials. Students may add money to their cards using the "Card Service Center" unit on the 1st floor of the Music Library. Visitors may also use this unit to purchase a visitor's card for $2.00. Money can then be added to the visitor's card. For more information about the Cardinal Card program, please visit the Campus Card Office website at: http://louisville.edu/campuscard/.
