M- Z

  • Mayo Clinic diseases index
  • Martindale's Health Science Guide 2008. VERY comprehensive, but requires patience to drill down through the layers to find what you are looking for
  • Medical dictionary Alphabetically arranged. Go to the Letter – huge page of words beginning with that letter. Use browser Edit --> Find on page, enter word (this way you see other words with this word root)
  • Medical Student.com VERY comprehensive, but requires patience to drill down through the layers to find what you want. Good source for images
  • Medicine.net A huge site. A little slow to search at first, but excellent and thorough information
  • Medline Plus
  • MedScape from WebMD
  • NOAH (New York Online Access to Health). For high quality full-text consumer health information in English and Spanish
  • PDR Health
  • Right Health A good searchable site, but difficult to browse. You have to enter the term you want in the upper right corner search box. Lots of user/patient forums – easy to get side-tracked
  • VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guidelines
