How do I request an article?

NOTE – if you have the Pubmed ID or Unique Identifier (IU), it speeds up the request
Requested articles are delivered in .pdf format via email attachment, or can be printed on request.

How do I find a book?
Go to Minerva UofL's public access catalog
 
Who can check out books from the Hospital Library?
All hospital staff and employees may check out materials from the Hospital Library following completion
of a library card application.  UofL faculty, residents, medical students and dental students also have Hospital Library check out priviledges.
Books circulate for two weeks and can be renewed.  Others may use library materials in house.
 
Can I check out books from Kornhauser Library?
Hospital personnel may obtain community borrower privileges at Kornhauser Library

Who do I call for help with GroupWise?
The computers in the Hospital Library are maintained by University Hospital IT
Users with Hospital GroupWise accounts - contact the Hospital IT help desk 502-562-3637
Users with U of L GroupWise accounts - contact the UofL  IT help desk 502-852-7997
 
Can patients and their families use the library?
Even though a patient education library is not available at this time, library staff will assist patients by providing
(a) Computer access (b) Assistance in searching (c) Access to consumer education resources and materials on the internet
(d) Coordinate with the hospital floor unit educational staff to assist the patient and family (e) Photocopy or printing of material
 
Does the library have Wireless connectivity?
Yes, wireless access is made available through the University Hospital IT department
