Collaborative Learning Center
The Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) is an electronic classroom designed for hands-on instruction. It is available for use by all teaching faculty and staff.
The classroom has 25 Pentium 4 Dell workstations running Windows XP, all with CD-ROM drives, Iomega Zip 100 drives and sound capabilities. They contain the complete suite of University communications software including Internet Explorer 5, Telnet, and WS-FTP Pro; they also run MS Office 2003. The room can comfortably seat about 35 students if workstations are shared. There is an instructor's station with a PC running Windows XP. This can be projected on a large screen behind the instructor's workstation using our NEC projector system. In addition the room contains a VCR, a video disc player and a stereo sound system.
