Use of Images held by the Photographic Archives

The University of Louisville Photographic Archives requires that users of the Archives' images obtain permission in advance and in writing to use those images in print, internet, digital, video, film, microform, or for other activities. Requests for permission are made by completing, signing and submitting the form at: permission

The Photographic Archives, as owners of the physical materials and artifacts, assesses fees for those uses in order to help defray some of the costs associated with preservation and stewardship of the photographic images. Users are solely responsible for identifying and securing permission from the copyright holder to support their intended use.

All requests for reproductions of University of Louisville Photographic Archives images must be accompanied by a completed and signed Print Service Agreement, found at: print service agreement
