Allen Kannapell

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Allen Kannapell is a graduate of UofL’s College of Business and has enjoyed much success throughout his near 40-year career. Mr. Kannapell’s first position was at Little Tikes, a start-up company in Macedonia, Ohio, where he served as sales manager for domestic and international markets. After Little Tikes sold to Rubbermaid in 1984, Mr. Kannapell established a new children’s product company, Step 2. From 1989 to 2006, he served as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Step 2 until the company sold to a private equity firm. Now retired, Mr. Kannapell and his wife, Barbara, reside in Louisville. They have three children and six grandchildren.
