Sonja Grey

Sonja Grey, President and Founder of Epiphany Events, has been successfuly leading her event planning company for seven years. Sonja brings attention to detail, superb inventive style and a hands-on approach to everything she does - her formula for success.

Sonja's professional career began as the Agenda Consultant for Stein Mart. This position was parallel to her Fashion Merchandising degree. Her responsibility was to establish relationships in the community by networking with a varietyof social organizations, businesses, and nonprofits. Also to implement and coordinate promotional events by arranging formal outreach events that included fashion shows, seminars, and other private events. Sonja developed short and long term plans to reach objectives by executing a logical sequence of events or tasks, setting priorities, and providing input on allocation of budget dollars for promotional events.

Sonja was recruited by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. As their Partnership Development Specialist, she led, developed, and implemented a comprehensive and tactical plan for special events and fundraising. Sonja was responsible for developing, maintaining, and retaining positive relationships with individuals, corporations, and organization through consistent networking and involvement.

During her employment with Exceptional Teens & Adults Inc., Sonja served as the Director of Marketing and Fund Development. Through her strategic planning, organizing implementation of marketing programs and directing ongoing fund development, Sonja was successful in enhancing the organization's image and promoting community understanding and support for the organization.

Sonja's civic and community involvement is immense. Her background in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles has afforded her the ability to organize and manage professional events. During her career, on numerous occasions, Sonja donated her time to organize events for local businesses and organizations. She served as President of the Louisville Urban League Young Professionals and as the Clothe-A-Child and Dress for Success Board of Director's Vice President. She has served as a Board member for Leadership Louisville, Greater Louisville, Inc. Friends of Ali and on the Fourth Street Stakeholders Advisory Board, just to name a few. Sonja is a firm believer in giving back to the community and has volunteered her time with numerous organizations, such as: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Olmstead Academy South and Brightside.

Sonja was featured in Who's Who of Black Louisville. She is a Danville, KY native and a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
