Teresa Bridgewaters

Teresa Bridgewaters is President of The Mardrian Group, Inc. (TMG), a premier Kentuckiana Commercial Construction Management and General Construction firm and six affiliate companies. She has over 30 years experience in business management, human resources, office automation and construction.

As a result of Teresa’s exemplary leadership, she was recognized as Today’s Woman Magazine’s “Most Admired Woman Business Owner” in 2006, in the 2007 Inaugural Edition and the 2008 Second Edition of Who’s Who in Black Louisville, as the 2008 Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana “Woman of Distinction”, and recognized several years in a row as Business First’s “Partner’s in Healthcare”. Teresa’s community and civic involvement has included; JCPS committees, YMCA Black Achievers mentor, West Louisville’s Economic Development Task Force, Fund for the Arts and Metro United Way Loan Executive, Goals for Greater Louisville Task Force, and Louisville Urban League’s Board of Directors.

Teresa is a recent graduate of Leadership Louisville’s class of 2010 and a 2011 Bingham Fellows.

Teresa currently serves on Georgetown College President’s Advisory Board, University of Louisville’s Library Associates Board, and as Honorary Chairperson for the “Just for Kids” Campaign to benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital. Teresa was featured in the Salvation Army’s and Greater Louisville Inc’s. membership campaign media promotions.

Teresa accepted the nomination to serve on the University of Louisville’s Library Associates Board due to her strong belief that libraries must evolve to enhance information technology use and that libraries are an essential inquiry-based element for student achievement. As well, to offer new ideas for ensuring that libraries are funded adequately for long-term sustainability.
