Retrieving Records From Archives or Records Centers

University Archives has a scheduled weekly pickup of records stored in the Records Centers (1901 Floyd or Tafel Warehouse.) Records Officers should call or e-mail University Archives to request records stored in 1901 Floyd Street or the Tafel Warehouse (852-6674 or complete the electronic request form.) Records retrieved from the records centers will be sent via campus mail or can be picked up at University Archives on the fourth floor of Ekstrom Library. Records Officers may request records held in University Archives throughout the week and they will be sent via campus mail or picked up by the offices as well.

After the Archives staff records the accession number and shelf location of the boxes in the shaded area of the Transmittal Form, the office receives a copy of the form with this information. Please keep your copy of the Transmittal Form for future reference. Only designated staff may request records from their units. If an office has authorization to request records generated by another office, the request must come from the office from which the record originated. When you request a file, please cite the accession number, box number, and folder title to facilitate quick retrieval.
