Scope and Content Note

This small collection of photographs and postcards from near the front in World War I were donated to the University Archives and Records Center by Geneva Blankenship of Louisville. Images include individuals and groups of various sizes in military uniforms, individuals and groups in civilian attire, women, ships, and airplanes. There are also scenes and people from outside the U.S. They may be related, at least in some cases, to the donor, but this cannot be verified. Most of the photographs and postcards have no identifying information included, but nonetheless, they give a picture of the time period and the activities during the war.
