LGBT Intercollegiate Network of Kentucky (LGBT IN-KY)
The LGBTQ Intercollegiate Network in Kentucky (or LGBTQ IN-KY) was a one-day conference hosted by the LGBT Center at the University of Louisville on November 2, 2013. This event was created in response to students who attended Come Together Kentucky (CTK) in the spring and asked for more opportunities to network and learn from others who are doing similar work across the state. Designed to complement CTK and build momentum, the conference will focus on bringing together student leaders and their advisors for a day of training and dialogue. The learning outcomes include:
- Providing leadership skills to student leaders of LGBT campus groups
- Facilitating conversation and support among advisors
- Planning for “Come Together Kentucky”
- Establishing a student-led suicide prevention network
- Strengthening the ties between LGBT groups at Kentucky schools
