President Bendapudi shares response to national progress for LGBTQ+ workplace protections

Cardinal Family,
Monday was a great day for our Cardinal Community, and for all who are engaged in the fight for equality and fairness. As you may know, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act protects workers from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
In light of the Supreme Court ruling, I would like to remind all of you that I and the University of Louisville stand firm in supporting all our LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Our third Cardinal Principle is Diversity and Inclusion. At UofL, we celebrate diversity of thought, life experiences and perspectives. We want everyone, in the richness of all of their many unique and intersecting identities, to feel included in the Cardinal fold.
