This national week of awareness is celebrated across the country to raise awareness about the issues that transgender people experience, and concludes with a remembrance ceremony to honor the victims of violence.

Monday, November 14

Die-In
--a visibility project designed to honor victims of transgender violence, sponsored by T2, the student organization devoted to gender activism

Tuesday, November 15

Trans Speak-Outs
--Students across the trans continuum will tell their stories and answer questions about gender identity, hosted by commonGround

Wednesday, November 16

Transgender Health Discussion
--A panel of trans people and other health professionals will discuss healthcare, body  image, and other issues, hosted by Campus Health Services and the LGBT Service health liaison

Saturday, November 19

Film:  "Gun Hill Road"
--the story of a teen exploring gender identity and sexuality in an intolerant and judgmental world and his exploration's impact on his relationship with his parents and himself.
