Engineering LLC Agreement

The Engineering Living-Learning Community (ELLC) brings together students wishing to pursue a career in engineering in a dynamic, engaging environment. This residential community fosters exploration of this career path through courses, programming, services, and connections to campus and community resources. This community will be housed in Wellness Hall.

As an ELLC resident, you can expect to receive the following services:

a Peer Mentor to assist you with the transition from high school to college
a tutor in your residence hall on some evenings to assist you with homework and studying for tests
opportunities to meet faculty and engineers outside the classroom setting
academic programs to assist you in becoming more successful as a student
social activities to assist you in getting to know community members better

Agreement for living in the Engineering Living Learning Community

As a member of the ELLC, I understand the opportunities and the reciprocal commitment outlined below. I understand that it is important for me as a community member to participate. Please place your initials next to each statement.

I may be reassigned (moved to Wellness Hall) in order to participate in this community (Required)

If you already have been assigned, select your current assignment

You will be moved from your current assignment to the Engineer LLC

I am currently majoring in engineering (Required)

I will register for and actively participate in the courses that are agreed upon with the advisors (Required)

I understand if I choose not to enroll in the core courses I may be asked to move to another floor (Required)

I will keep every other Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00pm beginning August 29, 2012 free for LLC activities, by not registering for classes, discussion sections, or lab sections during this time throughout 2012 – 2013 (Required)

I will participate actively in the monthly program series (a minimum of 2/semester) (Required)

I will have the opportunity to participate in observations with engineers. Faculty and staff in the program will assist me in exploring opportunities (Required)

I will abide by all relevant Housing and Residence Life regulations (Required)

I will commit myself to learning about myself and others as I engage in the ELLC (Required)

I will actively participate in community activities each semester (Required)

I am required to attend the following community meetings: (Required)

Welcome Weekend Advising REACH Student Success seminars
