Goldburn P. Maynard Jr., Brandeis Law School assistant professor, has completed the inaugural cycle of the Seminar on Teaching for New Faculty.

Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning, the seminar is a cross-disciplinary learning community designed to offer junior faculty a supportive, collegial atmosphere in which to explore and apply the findings of learning theory in their teaching at UofL.

Maynard was selected to be one of 12 participants in this cycle, which met six times throughout the 2015-16 academic year. Sessions covered topics ranging from assessing teaching effectiveness to defining one's teaching philosophy.

On April 26, Maynard and other participants presented lightning talks, marking their completion of the seminar. Maynard's talk was titled "Finding Out What Your Students Really Think."
