As the manager of the Brandeis School of Law Library's collection of Louis D. Brandeis' papers, Scott Campbell has seen many documents that once belonged to the Supreme Court justice.

But when he was researching his book, The Quotable Brandeis, he came across a previously unpublished copy of a Brandeis autobiography of sorts.

That discovery led Campbell to write "Notes for a Lost Memoir of Louis D. Brandeis," just published in the 43rd volume of the Journal of Supreme Court History. In the article, Campbell lightly edits the document for clarity and provides several footnotes explaining the people mentioned in it.

That discovery and article are the topic of a post in the widely read SCOTUSblog. In the April 5, 2018, post, SCOTUSblog manager Andrew Hamm speaks with Campbell about the original document.
