On Nov. 13, 2017, the Kentucky Court of Appeals heard two oral arguments in the Brandeis School of Law's Allen Courtroom.

Judges Denise Clayton, Sara Walter Combs and Debra Hebree Lambert presided.

The first argument was for a case involving issues of evidence, criminal procedure and constitutional due process in the context of a criminal case involving an issue of alleged sexual contact by a stepparent.

The second argument was for a case involving issues of products liability, premises liability and general duty of care in the context of a civil case where an individual claimed harm from an air freshener spray product.

Brandeis students were invited to attend the oral arguments, which happened to be scheduled on the same day as Justice Louis D. Brandeis' birthday. He was born in Louisville in 1856.
