Brandeis School of Law hosting workshop on marriage equality's implications for Kentucky law

Brandeis School of Law will host a workshop titled, “Getting Inside Obergefell: Marriage Equality’s Implications for Kentucky Law,” on January 23 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Opening the workshop is Dan Canon, a civil rights attorney at Clay Daniel Walton Adams, and one of the attorneys who represented Kentucky’s same-sex marriage plaintiffs in the landmark Supreme Court case, Obergefell v. Hodges.

Also presenting will be Brandeis School of Law Professors Sam Marcosson and Jamie Abrams, Bill Sharp from the Fairness Campaign, Becca O’Neill from the Kentucky Refugee Ministries, Attorneys Gordon Wright and Misty Clark VanTrease, and Kentucky State Senator Morgan McCarvey.

Early bird registration is $100 by Jan. 11. After Jan. 11, the cost is $125. Students are free. CLE credit (3.5 hours) will be offered.
