Brandeis alum participated in inauguration ceremony

Gene Price ('88), a partner at Frost Brown Todd LLC, represented the U.S. Navy during the presidential inauguration ceremony in Washington D.C. Jan. 20.

Price is serving on active duty as deputy commander of U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. 10th Fleet at Fort Meade, Maryland.

Maj. Gen. Bradley Becker, commander of Joint Task Force-National Region, was joined by senior representatives of the five military services, including Price, led the presidential escort down Pennsylvania Avenue from the U.S. Capitol to the White House.

The military ceremonial support during the inauguration period is a tradition dating back to 1789 when members of the U.S. Army, local militia units and Revolutionary War veterans escorted George Washington to his first inauguration ceremony.
