'09 Brandeis graduate offers words of wisdom to Oregon high school grads

Heather Stone, a 2009 Brandeis School of Law graduate, recently provided the commencement address for Oregon-based Reynolds High School's graduation ceremony.

According to Oregon Live, Stone, who is a '95 graduate of the high school, held a military career after attending the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. She then enrolled at Brandeis School of Law and is currently with the Thurston County Prosecutors Office in Washington.

Stone is also four-time Ironman triathlon finisher.

During her address, she told graduates to: "Choose the hard thing, the thing that scares you, the thing you think you can't do and do it anyway. No matter the choice, never make a decision based on the fact you're afraid it's going to be too hard and you might fail. You will miss out. The best things in life are the hardest things."
