How to Apply:
-Fill out the Application Form (Paper AND Online components)

-Make a copy of all transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)

-A typewritten statement (750 words) indicating your academic goals in applying for the program, your qualifications, and the specific course of study you would like to achieve

-Photocopy of Passport photo and ID (or photocopy of passport application)

-A program deposit of $100

-Other required forms (Health Clearance Form, Passport photocopy, etc.) must be submitted by February 1, 2012.

We encourage students interested in the 2012 Panama Program to submit their applications as soon as possible!  We are accepting applications now.  An interview will be arranged soon after receipt of the application.  Letters of acceptance will be sent following the interview so that students may get the required immunizations in a timely fashion.

Program Payment Schedule
First payment due: February 15 - $1,000
Second payment due: March 1 - $1,000
Final payment due: April 1 - $1,400 minus Panama Scholar Award amount

Panama Scholar Awards
Students who are accepted into the 2012 Study Abroad Program in Panama are eligible for the Panama Scholar Awards administered by the Latin American and Latino Studies Program.  There is no separate application for this monetary award.  Awards will be announced soon after the February 1st, 2012 deadline.  (Students applying to the Panama Program should not apply for the Lewis Scholar Awards.)
