2009 PANAMA PROGRAM

MODERN LANGUAGE FUND  

Funds to subvene student travel or study abroad. In their applications, students should be sure to provide a summary of what they are going to do and which program they will participate in (sponsored by U of L or by another organization). Be sure to include a flyer or other documentation on the program chosen (a flyer from the last two years is acceptable). Students should also specify the expected benefits from participation; how does this travel relate to future plans or employment?  More information at http://modernlanguages.louisville.edu/mlf_information.php.  (NOTE: this page has not yet been updated.) LEWIS EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Richard B. and Constance L. Lewis Educational Scholarship (CML)  is open to full-time graduate and undergraduate students and is intended to provide financial assistance for educational expenses, including tuition, books, and study abroad.  Copies of the application and the recommendation form are available on the door of HM 332.  DEADLINE: Monday  November 3rd.  (NOTE: Full-time graduate students are those carrying a load of three courses per semester.)

 

AKERS AWARD IN WOMEN AND GLOBAL ISSUES

The Women and Global Issues Committee of the U of L Commission on the Status of Women is offering two travel awards, one for faculty members and one for students. Information and application forms for the student award are at  http://louisville.edu/wgs/akers-award.html   They also are available at the Women's and Gender Studies office, 3rd floor, Gardiner Hall; the Women's Center, University Annex; and the International Center.  DEADLINE: February 16, 2009.

 

INTERNATIONAL CENTER SCHOLARSHIPS
