May 2013 Announcements from the LALS Director
Hello everyone. As the semester finally comes to a close and my sabbatical as well, I would like to congratulate all the LALS students who will be graduating this Saturday in the May 12, 2013 Commencement Ceremony. I will be there to cheer all of you on. Please remember to wear your LALS cords proudly! I am especially thrilled to be able to see the first class of LALS majors graduate: Leah Dahline, Kelsey Stanley, and Rosslyn Steinmetz. Last night Rosslyn was awarded the Woodcock Medal, the highest honor that an undergraduate student may receive at UofL. She also won a highly competitive Fulbright research award to study the role of women in politics in Paraguay.

About a month ago, we sent LALS exit interviews to all graduating students. If you have not returned that form, please send it to me and Natalie Schuetz via email.
The spring LALS newsletter is available for you to pick up at the LALS office and is also posted on our website.
