KEEPS Training Modules
KEEPS training modules help members develop and implement energy-savings measures.

The Kentucky Energy Efficiency Program for Schools (KEEPS) offers participants a complete package of tools, curriculum, training, coaching and expertise. Members also receive tools that allow them to analyze and understand their energy consumption, which includes everything from light usage and heating/air-conditioning issues to natural gas usage and best environmental management practices.

Basics of Energy Management (BEM)
The “Basics of Energy Management” is a KEEPS-approved training presentation developed for KEEPS participants. It is designed to help energy managers, facilities personnel and other energy team representatives understand terminology, technology and resources that relate to energy use and energy efficiency. It also illustrates how an effective energy management program benefits the environment and your organization.
This training module is a browser-based application. Each of the self-directed training module sections and printable resource materials are accessible by simply clicking on the desired link from the main menu. Energy team members for KEEPS participants should complete the training as directed by their energy manager.

Energy Management Process (EMP)
The seven-step Energy Management Process training module is based on the ENERGY STAR® program and incorporates additional information designed for KEEPS participants. The module will help energy managers, facilities personnel and other Energy Team representatives learn the process of energy management as well as educate their school district or institution on how an effective energy management program benefits their organization and the environment.
This training module is a browser-based application.
