WORKING FOR KENTUCKY

Funds that the Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center (KPPC) receives from the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection's (KDEP) Hazardous Waste Management Fund and grants from outside sources finance KPPC's many pollution prevention and energy efficiency services to Kentucky's businesses, industries, state government agencies and communities. To date, the Center has provided free, nonregulatory waste assessments to nearly 500 Kentucky businesses with total savings reaching nearly $6 million. This averages to about $12,000 in savings for each company.

KPPC’s SERVICES ARE:

FREE - Core funding that KPPC receives from the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection’s Hazardous Waste Management Fund covers the basic services that the Center provides to its clients.

CONFIDENTIAL - All work that KPPC does for its clients is strictly confidential. KPPC will not share, distribute or otherwise divulge any information about its clients or specific work that KPPC does for its clients without permission.

NONREGULATORY - KPPC does not enforce environmental regulations, nor does KPPC provide guidance on environmental regulations or other environmental compliance issues. KPPC’s clients are not required to act on any of the Center’s recommendations.
