Doctoral Program Overview

Ph.D. in Social Work

The Ph.D in Social Work offers the opportunity for academically-motivated masters level social workers to continue their studies at the doctoral level. Graduates will be prepared to serve as faculty members in social work programs in Kentucky colleges and universities and institutions nationally, and as administrators, planners, policy analysts, and program evaluators for positions in a broad range of social service agencies.

What is the Curriculum?

Interested social workers should contact the institution where they plan to matriculate for additional information, as students are subject to the policies, standards, rules, and procedures of that institution.
