Appproved Curriculum Description

After developing and changing our curriculum over the past two years, the final new curriculum description was approved on August 15, 2007.

 

Approved Goals and Objectives for Kent School

After developing and changing our curriculum over the past two years, the new goals and objectives for Kent School were approved on April 25, 2007.

 The schematic presentation of our curriculum was approved in November 2007.

 

Student Learning Outcomes Asessment

Kent School has developed this process to guide us through our student learning outcomes assessment.

 

Course Learning Objectives

All Kent School faculty worked together to classify the course learning objectives of each class in the core curriculum according to the program objectives, Bloom's taxonomy, CSWE content areas and NASW cultural competence areas. The first phase of this process was to work towards the revision of all course objectives to reflect critical thinking language. The second phase of this process was to identify where possible gaps may exist. The third phase of this process was to address the gaps by making changes to the course learning objectives and then do a final analysis to ensure all gaps are filled.

Measurement of Student Learning Outcomes

A measurement protocol has been designed that will be used to measure our foundation objectives, our advanced objectives as well as our specialization objectives.  The protocol is illustrated in the attached document:

Outcomes Analysis 2006-2007 and 2007-2008:  In 2006-2007 Kent School implemented their new curriculum.  The results of the first two years of evaluation of student learning outcomes are listed below.
