Explore the continuum of disorders that both moms and dads can experience with onset anytime during pregnancy to the first year postpartum. With one out of every 7 women and 10% of dads impacted by some form of depression or anxiety disorder it is imperative that we understand the signs and symptoms of these disorders.

As a result of attending the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • ·Be able to identify prenatal and postpartum risk factors in the population that you serve;
  • ·Be able to identify the symptoms of the continuum of anxiety and depression disorders that encompass perinatal mood and anxiety disorders;
  • ·Identify evidence-based screening tools and best practices for assessments;
  • ·Explore referral resources;
  • ·Discuss how untreated perinatal mood and anxiety disorders impact babies.
