The Southern Police Institute and Community Security and Public Safety are programs of national and international stature. These institutes offer certificate, academic credit and continuing education programs for criminal justice practitioners. These programs include the Southern Police Institute, Administrative Officers Course which leads to a Certificate in Police Executive Leadership Development. This program, established in 1951, is a national leader in police executive leadership education.
