Message from Department Chair

Dr. Deborah G. KeelingWe have an active and exciting program within justice administration. Our faculty have degrees from some of the best institutions of higher education in the United States and are all actively involved in research and service that addresses critical issues in criminal justice and public safety. At the Department of Justice Administration, we pride ourselves in offering high quality educational programs. The faculty, staff and I stand ready to provide you with the knowledge, skills and support you need to attain your educational and professional goals. In addition to a wide range of courses both online and on campus, our program offers a number of opportunities for students. We have a Justice Administration Club and the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honorary society. Both these organizations provide students with a means of meeting other students and getting involved in department, university and community service activities. Our Justice Administration Alumni Board sponsors, with the department, an annual Homecoming Tailgate every fall and we are please to provide students with “welcome back” events each spring and fall. We have a student mentor program – each student is assigned a faculty mentor to assist them in “negotiating” their academic experience. We additionally have internships, student research projects and honors program for students wishing to supplement traditional classroom education with more active learning and field placement experiences.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us. Many Thanks for your interest in our program!  I hope to see you soon!
