Spring Internship News

Criminal Justice Internships

Please read carefully. The internship course is an upper-level elective open to Juniors and Seniors in good standing who have at least a 2.0 GPA. It is a 3 credit hour course that does not meet on campus, but one where you will learn in the community. The time commitment is 120 hours. There is some paperwork involved too, and we can discuss that if you are interested.

Currently we want to fill the internships listed below for the spring 2019 term. All are UNPAID, but all are great placements.

Oldham Co Probation and Parole office.   Interns typically assist the officers with day to day operations of the office, and this includes meeting with clients and may allow you to attend court.

Bullitt Co Pre-Trial Services.  Interns typically assist with day to day operations of the office and this includes client contact.

Jefferson Co Elder Serve. Interns will help with projects for this victim advocacy agency.

If you are interested, please contact me ASAP at kafair01@louisville.edu .   Thanks! Kathy Eigelbach, Internship Coordinator.
