This course is designed for employees who would like to use SharePoint to store and share files. We’ll explore the Document Library, a location on your department’s SharePoint site where you can create, collect, update, and manage files with other team members. The course content is aimed at a non-technical user who will view, edit, and contribute content to the site. You’ll become familiar with how to use the SharePoint 2010 command interface and will practice utilizing the Ribbon for the most commonly used tools and commands. Participants will learn the basics of how to add, delete, and organize files and folders in the library. We’ll also discover how to create a subsite, set privacy and sharing permissions for specific files, enable notification alerts, and briefly explain versioning.
