***Reminder: Daylight Savings Time to end one week later than previous years***
In the spring of 2007, start and end dates for Daylight Savings Time (DST) changed to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. As a result, DST started three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November) than what had traditionally occurred. This year daylight savings time will end on November 4. Changes in Daylight savings time can have an impact on technology products that use dates or calendars.
If you have not already done so, manually check and adjust the time on your devices when the changes occur or update programs with the appropriate time changes. While most devices may have already been updated prior to the DST time change in the spring, some devices may still require your attention including PCs that have been reallocated, PCs that have not received Microsoft’s automatic updates or have not been manually updated since March, Windows mobile devices, etc.
