Anyone who has walked through the Miller Information Technology Center (MITC) lately is sure to have noticed the “Coming Soon iTech Xpress” signage. But what is iTech Xpress and what is the buzz all about?

IT is forging head with renovations for the new iTech Xpress retail store. The store will combine the services of the former MITC Copy Center and Software Resales to provide expanded product and service offerings, including laptops, iPods, and other computer accessories. 

“iTech Xpress is a true expansion to our existing online store,” said Tom Sawyer, Acting Vice President for Information Technology. “We’ve not only added new products and services, but a new exciting look. Students especially will like having real-time service and quicker turnaround for products.”

To keep the momentum going, a full week of grand opening events has been planned:

• Refreshments and snacks to celebrate the Grand Opening
• Kick off with the UofL’s pep band and cheer leaders
• Free promotional items
• T-shirt giveaways
• Raffle drawings for signed UofL wares and drawings for other great prizes

Look for raffle entry forms in the Cardinal newspaper and in the store.
