Heads Up: NetMail will not be available after Sept. 1

ATTENTION STUDENTS:

Starting Sept. 1, your university e-mail service no longer will be NetMail.

To make sure you do not lose important university messages, such as those from Financial Aid or your academic unit, that have been sent to your NetMail account, please go to https://docushare.louisville.edu/dsweb/View/Collection-4673 and follow the directions in “How to Migrate from NetMail to GroupWise – A Guide for Students” by 5 p.m. Aug. 31. NetMail will be retired at that time and will not be available to the university.

Your new service, GroupWise, is the e-mail UofL uses to deliver official and emergency communications and also is used by faculty and staff. This change is intended to provide students with an e-mail service that offers many new features, such as the ability to share and view calendars

Your e-mail address will remain userid@louisville.edu or your preferred e-mail address (i.e., jadoe01@louisville.edu or john.doe@louisville.edu).

ATTENTION FACULTY AND STAFF

Starting Sept. 1, students no longer will have NetMail e-mail services. They will be included in GroupWise with faculty and staff. As they migrate from NetMail,  students will begin to appear in the GroupWise address book. Although you may set up a personal distribution list any time, you should wait until Sept. 1 to ensure that all students are using GroupWise. Of course, Blackboard already maintains course section distribution lists that you may use.
