First-Year Programs

First year students are encouraged to participate in one of three available leadership development programs at UofL. Freshmen LEAD builds strong relational leaders and encourages community service. Task Force Freshmen strives to prepare students for roles in student government and gives participants an opportunity to create policy proposals. Leader's Legacy focuses on enhancing individual leadership skills through a variety of online and in-person development opportunities. Contact Kathy Meyer for more information.

Student Involvement offers a number of leadership development programs that strive to connect first-year students to leadership opportunities across our campus. Students interested in receiving up to date information about leadership programs and opportunities should join the Student Leadership Portal in Engage UofL, where we frequently post leadership application deadlines, links to leadership resources, and news items about leadership opportunities.
