Group X Class Descriptions

Barre Fitness: The goal of the Barre workout is to create long, lean muscles while strengthening and toning the entire body, specifically tapping into your small isometric muscles. Exercises are based on dance, ballet, pilates, and yoga. Each class includes optional 2-3 lb. weights, upbeat music, and is one hour in length.

Belly Dancing: This belly dance fitness class combines traditional moves with current pop, R&B and hip-hop hits. There are many health benefits for those who practice this form of dance, including improved posture and muscle toning, weight loss, stress reduction, brighter and clearer skin, better sleep, decreased back pain and increased self-esteem and confidence!

Boot Camp: This 45 minute or 1 hour class will challenge and strengthen your whole body. The instructor uses dumbbells, tubing, calisthenics and stability balls for resistance to work all you muscle groups. The class is done to upbeat, fast-paced music that will leave you energized for the rest of your day.

Butts & Guts: Exercises in this 45 minute toning class are dedicated to strengthening and tightening your abs and lower body! Using primarily bodyweight exercises, this workout will focus on training for your core, glutes, legs and lower back.

Calorie Crusher: A high intensity cardio workout in which you use your own body weight (no equipment) to condition and sculpt your body and burn lots of calories.

Cardio Blast: This UPBEAT 45 minute cardio workout will get your heart pumping utilizing floor and step combinations mixed with the use of the stability balls, bosu balls and free weights. Beginner to advanced fitness levels are welcome, work at your own level.

Group Cycling: Looking to torch calories? Look no further than this intense, cardiovascular workout. Our motivating instructors guide you through a structured ride to improve your fitness level, up your metabolism, and sharpen your mind-body connection. All students should arrive at least five minutes early to correctly set up their bike. Please bring water. All levels are welcome.

HIIT: High Intensity Interval Training – this high energy 45 minute cardio and muscle conditioning class is appropriate for beginner levels yet challenging for the more conditioned athlete. The class utilizes bands, stability balls, weights, bosu balls and your own body weight.

TRX Circuit: To rev your metabolism, research demonstrates you need to systematically combine strength training and cardio. This intense workout uses the revolutionary movements of the TRX®suspension trainer with high-intensity interval training for a full-body, metabolism-focused, totally epic hour. All levels are welcome, but this class may not be suitable for de-conditioned participants. Class space is limited so please arrive early.

Pilates Plus: A class that lengthens and sculpts the body, strengthens the core and increases flexibility. While traditional Pilates techniques are utilized, there is an additional focus on upper body strength and conditioning.

Power Pilates: This 45 minute mind-body is designed to challenge and strengthen your total body focusing on your core muscles while improving your flexibility.

Power Yoga: This one hour yoga class flows continuously with great emphasis on linking together every movement to the breath. Power yoga builds strength, stamina, flexibility and tones the body.

Restorative Yoga: This one hour Yin style meditative class focuses on deep stretching and the mind-body connection.

Vinyasa Yoga: Focusing on basic poses, breath, and alignment, this Vinyasa Yoga class will begin with practicing pranayama and end with a 10 minute guided Savasana. Instructions to go deeper into each posture will be given, but are always optional as this class is appropriate for beginning, as well as continuing students.
