This workshop provides information regarding the the job search and interview process for those students graduating in the Spring, Summer or Fall.  It is never too early to begin preparing for your future career.

  • Excel in your interviews (Do's and Dont's)
  • Use all the resources offered by the Career Development Center at UofL

International Education Week (IEW) Events

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate worldwide the benefits of international education and exchange. This joint initiative between the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education functions to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.

International Banquet

Each year the International Center and the American International Relations Club (AIRC) celebrate one of the most important events held at the University of Louisville - the International Banquet. The International Banquet is a multi-cultural event that promotes diversity and mutual understanding among international students, U of L students, and the Louisville community.

International Night at a Basketball Game

This event is sponsored by the Office of the President and gives international students the opportunity to attend one of the University of Louisville's first home basketball games to kick off the college basketball season.  This event is always a first-come, first-serve event and is always a popular event.  Information about the event is distributed to students at the beginning of the fall semester.

International Welcome Party

A kick-off to the fall semester.  A great opportunity to meet other International Students & Scholars, U.S. students studying abroad and faculty and staff at the University of Louisville. We will have free food and music!

J1Waiver, H1B and LPR Workshop

If you are interested in attending a workshop to gain valuable knowledge about the process before you continue to apply for OPT, OPT STEM, H1B or LPR then the ISSS office offers several workshops a semester to help you begin the process.

New Student Orientations

New student orientations take place at the beginning of both fall and spring semesters.  It is important to know the procedures and be prepared for your arrival within the U.S. and within the University of Louisville.

Travel Signature Days

At the end of each semester,  the ISSS office hosts a travel signature day, during which international students and scholars may obtain a coordinator's signature to travel back home.  This is also a great day on which to ask travel regulation questions and  update documents as needed.

Winter Coat Giveaway

Each fall semester our office hosts a coat giveaway in preparation for winter weather.  Be on the lookout during the fall semester for an email  with more details.

Writing Workshop

This event is sponsored by the writing center.  It is a great opportunity for you to develop writing skills to enhance your research papers at the University of Louisville.
