Abstract: Responsible for 20% of the nation's critical telecom infrastructure, BellSouth recognizes its unique responsibility to its customers, its employees, and to the nation. Securing BellSouth against both natural events and malicious attacks presents challenges in terms of response, disaster recovery and prevention. In this seminar, Mr. Langley will speak on the business continuity and security governance processes in place at BellSouth to meet these challenges. BellSouth being a Fortune 500 company, this model would be useful for others to emulate.

Mr. Doug Langley , Director of Security, Strategy & Planning, is responsible for national security coordination, security communications, education and emergency preparedness as well as response at BellSouth. He was instrumental in creating the governance model and the emergency response model in place at BellSouth.
