Description : This is an industrially oriented course on a Graduate academic level. The purpose of the course is to familiarize the student with the main network security vulnerabilities, as recognized by the industry, and the methods for mitigating them. The reference material consists of industrial whitepapers. The course does not treat any commercial aspects.
Ten subjects were chosen to be included in the course: Firewalls, Intrusion detection and prevention, Wireless security, VPN (Virtual Private Networks), Enterprise Networks Security, Storage Networks Security, Banking security, HIPPA (Healthcare Security), Access control, Identity management.
