Although the library does have historical collections in this subject area, teaching and research are mainly supported by recently published materials. Acquisition of materials is made on a regular basis and Kornhauser Library has an approval plan that includes Pharmacology and Toxicology as one of its subjects.

Currently Ovid Online provides access to MEDLINE, PsycINFO, CINAHL, several specialty bibliographic databases and the full-text of 84 journals. MDConsult and StatRef! provide access to full text medical journals and textbooks. Web of Science provides an Internet-accessible version of Science Citation Index.
